Julienned Parsnip Fries

I found myself with 2 pounds of locally grown organic parsnips and decided to try mock French Fries...the outcome was great!

Ingredients 

2 teaspoons sea salt
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon level garlic powder
1 teaspoon level onion powder
1 teaspoon chilly powder (or to taste)

Method

Preheat oven to 450F. Wash and peel the turnips ( I used a potato peeler). Cut the parsnips into sticks. Mix all ingredients in a bowl so all fries are coated with the mix. Line cookie tray with aluminum foil and lay the fries in a single layer. Place in oven and turn in 15 minute increments until browned slightly. Mine took half hour.
