Utensils

A can opener,a whisk, a freezer safe dish like a pretty corning wear dish which you can also serve in.

Basic Ingredients

1 can condensed milk
1 can evaporated milk (skim or your choice)
1 container cool whip.

 Flavoring for Kulfi (optional)
3-6 cardamon pods peeled and crushed or to taste
1/2 teaspoon rose water or to taste
chopped pistachios for garnish.

Method

In a large freezer safe dish, mix the condensed milk and evaporated milk well with a whisk.
Add the crushed powdered cardamon and rose water and mix well. Next whisk the Cool Whip  (whipped cream) into the mixture until well blended. It should appear to be smooth and creamy.
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 24 hours until completely frozen.  Sprinkle  chopped pistachios over the top of the Kulfi when it is ready to be served.
Notes
Take the kulfi out of the freezer about 10 minutes before serving. Do not let it sit out too long because it will melt .
You can also add a little food colouring to the mix when you are blending so as to add a pale pink or green color.
Variations
Instead of the Kulfi flavourings you can make any other ice cream from this mix
- add your favorite liquor (kahlua is my choice) and garnish with shaved chocolate
- add almonds, almond flavoring to the mix for an almond ice cream. Garnish with chopped almonds
-  Use your imagination and have fun!
